The Ultimate Comfort-Watch List: 10 Sitcoms Ranked by How Much They Made Us Lose It

"Comfort show" gets thrown around a lot. We wanted an actual definition: a comfort show is one you can watch reactions to endlessly without it ever feeling repetitive — which, conveniently, is a thing we can measure. We looked at every sitcom in our 10-year reaction library and ranked them by combined watch data: total views, how consistently people came back episode after episode, and how many times we ourselves kept the reaction going.

Here's the real list, not the "shows everyone says are comfort shows" list.

1. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia — 166 episodes, 1.2M+ views. Not close. 2. The Good Place — 53 episodes, our #2 all-time comedy by combined performance. 3. Community — 108 episodes. The bottle-episode format alone could carry this list. 4. The Office — 103 episodes, the one most people already know they love. 5. Scrubs — 120 episodes, our biggest hospital comfort watch by a mile. 6. Arrested Development — 82 episodes, still one of the sharpest scripts we've ever reacted to. 7. Parks and Recreation — 124 episodes, our single most-reacted show by raw episode count. 8. New Girl — 73 episodes, consistently strong engagement despite a smaller total footprint. 9. Schitt's Creek — 68 episodes, the one that sneaks up on you emotionally by the finale. 10. 30 ROCK — 65 episodes, still one of the densest joke-per-minute shows we've done.

Why this ranking, and not a "best written" list

We're not TV critics ranking scripts. We're two guys who've reacted to television on a couch for a decade, and this list is what our own audience proved, with their actual attention, they wanted to keep watching us react to. That's a different (and honestly more honest) metric than "best sitcom of all time" — plenty of critically-loved shows didn't make this list because the reaction-watching audience just didn't come back for them the same way.

If your comfort-watch list looks nothing like this one, that's fine — but if you want to start where the data says the couch had the most fun, start at #1 and work down.
