If you asked us before we ran this data which show holds our audience's attention the longest, we would not have guessed Archer. It's not our most-viewed show. It's not our most-reacted show by episode count. But by how much of each video people actually stick around for, Archer sits at the very top of the whole channel — nothing else we've reacted to holds an audience better.

Why that's the more interesting kind of "winner"

Views tell you how many people clicked. What happens after they click is a different story entirely. A show can pull huge numbers and still lose most of its audience thirty seconds in — that's a hook problem, not a content problem. Archer has the opposite issue in the best possible way: it doesn't need to be our biggest show to be one of our stickiest. People who start it don't bounce.

The IT Crowd is right behind it

Second place isn't random either: The IT Crowd, on a fraction of the episodes we've done of some of our bigger shows. Two dialogue-dense, fast-paced comedies — one American spy-farce chaos, one dry British workplace absurdity — sit at the top of our whole retention leaderboard. Whatever they're both doing, a reaction audience apparently can't look away.

What we're doing with this

Shows like these are exactly the ones worth prioritizing for shorts and clips going forward — a show that holds people is proof the content itself, not just the premise, is doing the work. We're leaning into that instead of just chasing whatever has the biggest raw view count.

If you've never caught our Archer or IT Crowd reactions, apparently you're missing our two stickiest watches on the whole channel.
