Why Always Sunny in Philadelphia Is Our Most-Reacted Show Ever (166 Episodes and Counting)

Ten years of reacting to television, thousands of videos, hundreds of shows — and nothing has ever come close to how much of the couch's time has gone to one show: It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. 166 episodes reacted so far. Over 1.2 million combined views. Our single biggest show, by a margin nothing else on the channel gets near.

We wanted to actually understand why, instead of just knowing it in our gut.

It's not just the raw numbers

A show can rack up views just by being long-running — Sunny has 16+ seasons to pull from, so of course there's more content to react to than a show that ran three seasons and got cancelled. But total video count doesn't automatically mean total views, and it definitely doesn't guarantee people keep watching reaction after reaction of the same show for a decade. Sunny does both.

Compare it to our other high-volume shows: Parks and Recreation has more total episodes reacted to (124), Scrubs has more too (120) — but neither comes close to Sunny's combined view total. Something about this specific show makes people want to watch us specifically react to this specific gang over and over, more than any other comfort-comedy in our library.

Our theory

Sunny works as reaction content because every episode is a fresh worst-case scenario for characters who never learn — which means every single episode gives us a genuine, un-spoiled "how are they going to make this worse" reaction, season after season. There's no fatigue point where the format runs dry, because the show's entire structure is built to reset the insanity every 22 minutes.

It also helps that it's one of the few shows where our own reactions have visibly evolved over a decade right alongside the show's — longtime fans of the channel have watched us change as much as the gang has (which, admittedly, is not much, in the gang's case).
