We've been reacting to television since 2016. Somewhere around video #2,000 we stopped trusting our own memory of "what was our best season" and decided to just look at the numbers instead.

So we pulled every video off the RTR channel — all 3,800+ of them — and ranked every show we've ever reacted to by real audience response: total views, engagement rate, and how many times we kept coming back for more episodes. No vibes, no nostalgia. Just what actually made the couch erupt, according to you.

Here's what the data says.

#1 isn't close

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. 166 episodes reacted, and by combined watch time it isn't just our #1 show — it's not close to #2. If you've never watched our Sunny reactions, that's ten years of us slowly losing our minds at Charlie's schemes — start anywhere, it doesn't matter, the gang has never once had a good plan.

The comedy trio right behind it

Community, The Good Place, and The Office round out the top four — three very different flavors of comedy that all landed the same way with the couch. If Sunny is chaos-first, these three are "we actually cared about these idiots by the finale," and the reaction videos show it — comment sections turn into full-on group therapy by season 3.

The one you're sleeping on

Views tell you what's popular. Retention — how much of the video people actually stick around for — tells you what people are hooked on. By that measure, our #1 show for the whole channel isn't even a top-5 by views: Archer, with The IT Crowd right behind it. People who click these don't bounce — they watch almost the whole thing.

And if you want the "find it before everyone else does" pick: Lucifer quietly brings in more new viewers-turned-regulars than almost anything else we've done. It's a show bringing new people to the channel, not just entertaining the ones already here.

Movies: one reaction crushed everything

Across every one-off movie reaction we've ever posted, nothing touches Nate Bargatze: Hello World — over 104,000 views on a single video, more than double our next-best movie reaction (Wonder, ~77K). Turns out watching two people lose it at a stand-up special hits different than we expected.

The part we almost didn't tell you

Here's the thing the YouTube numbers can't show: 438 shows in our full reaction library have never had a single video posted to YouTube. Big Bang Theory. Gravity Falls. The Handmaid's Tale. Squid Game. Supernatural. Teen Wolf. Justified. Full, complete, multi-season reactions to shows some of you have been asking us about for years — they exist, they've just never left Patreon.

That's not a tease. That's just where 10 years of full-length, uncut, unedited reactions actually live, because YouTube's rules never let us post the real thing.

The methodology, for the data nerds

We built a taste-ranking system from the ground up: every title in our 10-year reaction catalog matched against real YouTube performance AND real private analytics — watch time, retention, subscriber conversion, not just view counts. It's not a vibes list — it's what actually happened when we hit publish.

We're publishing the full ranked breakdown, genre by genre, over the next few weeks. If you want the 438 shows that never made it to YouTube — or the uncut version of anything above, no cuts, no content-ID landmines — the full library lives on Patreon.
